biohazardBe very careful of the latest intestinal bug going around. It’s very nasty, and can hit you out of nowhere practically overnight. My partner got it, and I helped her deal for a day, hoping that I wouldn’t get it, but the very next day — wham! — down I went. As of Monday evening, I had lost about ten pounds. I don’t know what it is now, I ‘m afraid to look. I’m able to keep down tea and toast now, and my voice is coming back slowly. It should be fine by the weekend. I’m glad, because I’m supposed to be on the Webcomic Beacon Podcast on Sunday the 20th at noon Eastern, and I’d sorta like to be able to talk!

I got the base art laid in for the next page yesterday and today. That part’s the easy, relatively quick part. The harder, more time-consuming part will have to wait until tomorrow, when I’m feeling a bit stronger and less like I’ve been beaten with a big bag of wet sand.

Oh, where’d we get this little gem of a bug? My partner went to babysit our grandkids on Thursday. Turns out the bug had gone through their house earlier in the week. Not a real mystery, places with babies are always hot zones, but it only took a day to hit after that. Fast and nasty. Be on the lookout, and if you get it, be careful not to dehydrate!

Additionally, I’ve just found out that sometime between 9pm on the 17th and 5am on the 18th (MDT), my hosting service is moving the server containing my sites to a new data center, which will result in a short downtime of 1-3 hours. If you try to reach the site and it’s down around then, don’t panic, it’s just the server move.
