A last short before the new arc, featuring Shifty the Cat and a couple of his friends, my imagining of the Golden Age heroine Yankee Girl and a new Canadian heroine I call Northlight.  I haven’t done anything with either of them except some concept work, but I thought the weekend where both Canada and the U. S. are celebrating special days with fireworks might be a nice time to trot them out.  And go figure, Shifty the Cat likes fireworks, and knows all the best places to go watch them!

So Happy Canada Day to the Canadians out there, and Happy Independence Day to the Americans out there.

The next arc is shaping up nicely.  I’ve got the extras cobbled up, and the scenery is starting to come together, the story is all worked out.  Next comes actually putting it all together on a page.

The past couple of weeks haven’t been just lazing about relaxing, I’ve been gearing up so I can attend conventions more easily, at least in the local area.  I got a folding, powered wheelchair that will fit in the trunk of the car, so I’m not at the mercy of my endurance walking with my cane.  We’ve tested getting it in and out of the car and setting it up at a destination, and it’ll work. So, in theory, I should be able to go to a convention and last more than a couple of hours without feeling like I’m going to die.  With the first book out, I’ve actually got something to show off, so it’s useful to go to them, and hopefully someone will want to meet me or something. (Wry grin)

Oh, and did I mention that Volume 1 is available in print?  The link to purchase them is at the lower right corner of your screen.  Yes, that’s it, just scroll down…there you go…
