News of the Day

I’ve been busy. I have all of the reference art shot, and shots assigned to each panel of the remaining pages of Volume 1. You know what this means?

Well, it means right off that Volume 2 is just around the corner, that goes without saying. But even more to the point, it means that Volume 1 gets to go to print. I’m rebooting my old small-press company, Revolution Earth Press, as my new graphics imprint, to handle all of my current, and *fingers crossed* future comic endeavors, and have started getting the new site designed so I can get it up and running.

When the last page of Volume 1 is up on the webcomic, while furiously creating the pages for Volume 2, I’ll also be prepping Volume 1 to go to press. Watch this space.

Neil Gaiman’s “The Price” Kickstarter Needs Love

There’s a very worthy little project over on Kickstarter that could use a bit of assistance. Christopher Salmon is a film producer who would like to do a revolutionary animation project of Neil Gaiman’s short story “The Price”, and is using Kickstarter to gather the funds for it. He’s hit the halfway point, but he only has 8 more days to get the other half. It’s a really cool looking project, it’s a great story, and his techniques are really interesting. I’d love to see this get made. He has some great people promising to help him, and some more would be even better. Pop on over to Kickstarter, take a look at the video describing the project, and if you feel you can back it, even ten bucks will help.

Top Web Comic Voting

by ArdRhi on November 2, 2010 at 2:54 pm

In case you all haven’t noticed, there’s a little button on the lower right, below the comic, for Top Web Comic’s top 100 comics. It’s a voting button, that you can use to give feedback once per day on what you think of the comic. Even if the comic doesn’t update every day, you can help me out by visiting and clicking that button to vote. It makes my site more visible, and gets me some extra visitors. As a token of my appreciation, there’s a voting incentive picture up now, so you can have a nice Jenny wallpaper if you like. It’s a pretty “outtake” scene that I thought was cute.

New Accessibility Device

It’s not a new thing, it’s been around for a number of years, but it’s new to me.  Typing is a particularly difficult thing for me, even with the fancy SafeType keyboard.  The nerve pain I have is worst on the right side of my body, radiating from the neck up into the head, down the shoulder into the arm, down the arm to the hand, and down the spine into the right leg.  The left side is also painful, but not as much as the right side.  Sensation on the right is also a little lower, which makes it easier to get hurt there if I’m not paying attention.  It’s easy to overdo activity on the right, and the first indication I have is when the pain flares into overdrive and I’m unable to do anything.

BAT Keyboard

So I got an additional keyboard, an Infogrip BAT chording keyboard, that lets me do all of my typing with my left hand if necessary.  My tablet doesn’t take nearly as much effort on the right, so I can use the tablet for a long time without pain, but typing is far more difficult.  This keyboard takes a bit of practice, to learn all of the chords to generate all of the letters, but it’s worth the time.  It’s a lot less strain.

Comic will be up later today or early tomorrow, watch this space!

Pretty New Banner!

No comic update in mid-week, just a quick blog post to point out the new, fancy site banner up top!  This old, wrinkly guy is going to eventually make an appearance.  Not going to give any more away about him yet.  You’ll know him when you see him!
